Overview

OpenRocket is a free piece of open source software that simulates a rocket's flight. It includes a library of common components and motors. The software is useful for estimating stability, apogee, and descent velocity.

Use

OpenRocket breaks down as complex fin geometries begin to interact (including fillets). OpenRocket also decreases in accuracy as you pass the transonic region. There is a feature limited port to android that may be useful for last minute adjustments on the field.
