The width of the pedestals in the BSMD have a strong eta dependence and especially since we will be cutting at some factor of the width above the pedestals, this can have quite a strong effect. This effect can be seen in the following image
The model used in this analysis will follow the data for the BSMD eta plane, but will be a constant for the BSMD phi plane.
By eye-balling the plot the following values were chosen for the pedestal width
BSMDE [0-49] -> 2
BSMDE [50-99] -> 3
BSMDE [100-150] -> 2.5
BSMDE [151-200] -> 2.5
BSMDE [201-250] -> 3
BSMDE [251-200] -> 2
BSMDP [all] -> 2
