Meeting Notes:
Agenda:
- Review documentation that has been produced so far.
- Review Team members roles within the group.
- Decide on the supportability of Nexthaus's SyncJe.
- Set timelines for the testing evaluation and documentation.
Review documentation that has been produced so far:
- Mark completed a MIT email setup via the Device, included both directions and screenshots. This is good information to have, but will be recommneding that the user setup MIT email via the BlackBerry Internet Service website. This was not possiable with Marks device as an error occured with the account.
- Wes has provided detail list of what SyncJe is and is not capable of doing when syncing to the MIT Techtime server. We will need more testing of his results to check for pattern, occurrences, and consistency.
- Matt completed the installation/how-to documentation for BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Windows Vista. This documentation also included screenshots.
Review Team members roles within the group:
- Reviewed what exactly is needed by the group to accomplish this task, task being the completion of the BlackBerry release project. The project is coming to a close, and much needed testing is needed. Full participation by team members is needed to pull this project off successfully.
- Reconfirmation by team members that testing would wrapped up within the 2 week span.
Decide on the supportability of Nexthaus's SyncJe.:
- The team has concluded that Nexthaus's SyncJe will be supportable here at MIT. As long as proper documentation is clear and concise.
- Matt will be working with Nexthaus to compile a MIT specific installer for volume license purposes. This will also eliminated error in inputing the Techtime server URL which has shown to be tedious at times.
Set timelines for testing and evaluation of documentation:
- Team members will be concluding testing within the next 2 weeks, documentation will then be reviewed both internal and externally to confirm accuracy and proper details.
