There are 2 MSRED specific independent studies course numbers

  • 11.S963 (use for IS that are receiving a letter grade)
  • 11. S964 (use for IS that are receiving P/D/F grade)

Process

  • Any student (regardless of home department) who is pursuing an MSRED Independent Study must complete the Independent Project Form and register for one of the above course numbers.
    • They are required to work with an MSRED faculty member for the IS.
    • The faculty will provide the grade to the academic administrator to enter since faculty are not linked to specific IS courses.
  • MSRED students who are doing an IS outside of the CRE must register for the IS in the department sponsoring the course.
