4.  Add a User to a Project

Requests for adding a user to a project will come through an instance of the “Add Resource to a Project” process.

 

  1. Access the “Setup” tab on the top of the page and select “Manage Users” under “Users” on the left navigation column.

 

  1. Click on the name of the user and then click on the “Manage Membership” button in the upper right hand corner.

 

  1. On “Projects” tab:
    1. Select projects from the “All Project” panel and click the right arrow to add user to the requested projects.
    2. Also click the “Notify user added/removed to/from project” box.
    3. Click the “Save” button if complete.

 

  1. In some cases, adding a user to a project may mean changing a role assignment as well. The project requestor will include such requests in a comment field of the process instance. If requested:
    1. On “Account Roles” tab:

                                               i.     Select account role(s) from the “All Roles” panel and click the right arrow to add user to the requested account level role.

                                              ii.     Click the “Save” button if complete.

  1. On “Project Roles” tab:

                                               i.     Select role from the “Roles” dropdown and project from the “All Projects” panel and click the right arrow to add user to the requested project level role.

                                              ii.     Click the “Save” button if complete.

  1. Identify the User in the appropriate role in the Project Details.
    1. Go to the Projects tab.  Select the project.
    2. In the left column, go to “Details”.
    3. Click on edit (top right).
    4. Select the user from the drop-down menu in the appropriate role.
    5. Save.
  2. When you add or change a PM on a project, you must change the Schedule Manager to that new PM.  To do so:
    1. Go into the project.
    2. In the left column, click on Schedule.
    3. Click on “Update Schedule” on the top right of the screen.
    4. Select Manager Role as “Project Manager”.
    5. Select Manager User.
    6. Click Save.
