First, let me welcome everyone to the Faculty and Student Experience (which is quite a mouthful so I'm just going to call it FSX for now).
We've all met individually or in small groups, but I'd like to start getting together the full team for regular meetings as well.

Individual transitions, role definitions, deciding on continuing services, and exploring new services will all take some time. For some of us there'll be little change to start with, for others it'll be all new work right away, and for others it'll be consistent gradual change over the next few months. Regular (but not annoyingly frequent) meetings as a team will be a good opportunity to get to know everyone better, brainstorm ideas, and begin to help shape our portfolio and the team's identity.

Jon Hunt was kind enough to check all our TechTime calendars for me and it looked like

11:30 to 12:30 this coming Tuesday (6/2)

was free for everyone. Please let me know if that time doesn't work for you, because I would like make sure everyone can make it for the first meeting.

For our initial get-together I'd also like to keep the agenda light. Here's a first pass. Think of it as an ice breaker meeting (smile)

  1. Introductions!
  2. Roundtable
    • what's currently on your plate? on your mind?
    • existing projects that need to be handled over the summer
    • individual transition/exploration plans currently underway
    • new things we know are coming
  3. Initial logistics
    • mailing lists, team lists
    • a space to keep our stuff, document our work
    • schedule for team meetings
    • schedule for one-on-ones
  4. Grill Oliver
I suspect there are will be a lot of questions. Whether I have any answers is another matter!

If there's anything else you'd like to make sure we talk about please don't hesitate to send it to me or reply-all to this message to send
it to the whole team. Since it's right around lunchtime I'm planning on getting some snackage. Any requests?

Cheers,

Oliver
