Ripaille Rules
Article I : When emailing the list
- Don’t email the list for an event you organize.
- Don’t email the list for an event where you are directly invited (by directly, I mean personally or because of your membership of a group).
- Don’t email the list for a small private event (for instance when everyone knows each other or when it seems to be funded by natural persons).
- Don’t email the list if it seems to be too late.
- Even if those rules forbid you to email the whole list, feel free to email just some friends.
Article II : about the information you have to give
- Minimum information: time and location of reception.
- Highly recommended information: size of reception, food offered and drinks offered (if other than coffee, coke…).
- Optional information: topic of the reception and everything else (for instance goodies).
Article III : Independence from freefood
- Keep in mind that the Ripaille list is really different from the free-food list. Don’t forget to email it when you find abandoned food or when an event in which ripailleurs invited themselves finishes with left overs.
