Masks: 

To get a plastic mask (min feature size = 10um), you just have to email the file with the design of the mask to the printing

They accept .dxf files. A simple program to prepare dxf file is attached (clewin3.rar). An example of a mask is also attached: mask.dxf

Clean Room: 

In order to get access to MTL (http://mtlweb.mit.edu/index.html services), you must register using the MUMMS registration form (http://mtlweb.mit.edu/services/fabrication/register.html).

Before you start registration, please make sure that:

- You have completed your Safety training (https://wikis.mit.edu/confluence/display/romanstocker/Safety+training).

- You have a MIT email address.

- You know the MTL services to which you need access (most likely EML).

- You have an MIT account number (cost object).

The MUMMS registration form will ask you a number of questions. In particular: 

- Select: I need access to the main fabrication facilities.

- Check: Access to EML facilities. 

- Select: Polymers under Research Material.

- Provide Cost object, Supervisor name, Kerberos name. 

Once you complete the form you will receive an e-mail with instructions on confirming your registration. Your registration *must be confirmed *by you in order to proceed to the next steps in the process. Once your registration is confirmed, you will be able to log into MUMMS to see the status of your services. Note that some MTL services will not be activated until certain requirements are met, including:

Creation of your compute account: You will not be able to log into any MTL computers or CORAL without an active compute account. Your compute account must be created by MTL staff which normally takes 1 or 2 days.

Completion of safety requirements: You must complete the required safety training and sign-offs before you can get access to log into CORAL. The status of all of these requirements can be viewed by logging into MUMMS and choosing "Manage Your Services." These are:

  • CHP Form Sign Off 
  • Computer account creation approval
  • MTL Safety Quiz - To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
  • Managing Hazardous Waste - To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
  • Chemical Hygiene - To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.
  • Hydrofluoric Acid - To view your EHS status, go to the EHS Training Page.

Important: In the MIT Learning Center: 

- go in My Profile -> MY EHS Training Needs -> Update my EHS Profile  and add Vicky Diadiuk (DIADIUK) under PI/Supervisor name (you should have already the name of Roman; if not go back to https://wikis.mit.edu/confluence/display/romanstocker/Safety+training

- My required trainings to check the status of your trainings.

Approval of charges: We will need to receive approval from your supervisor before any services which incur charges can be activated. An e-mail will be sent to the supervisor requesting approval when you confirm your registration.

Once you have completed all the requirements and the charges have been approved, you can schedule a training for the EML by contacting:
