When someone becomes a member of the club, they can get a club badge.  They have to pay for it themselves.graduates the class, their first badge is free (that is, the cost is considered to be part of the cost of the class.) Otherwise, club members are charged for badges and dangles they get. Official dangles (i.e. for President, Member-At-Large etc) are paid for by the club, as they are expected to get passed down to new officers.

We order them from Majestic Badge.  Peggy & Steve Schevis, majestic.badge@verizon.net, 781-592-8890. If that email doesn't work, try grannynpopssch@gmail.com.   Don't send her a spreadsheet, or even a csv file: long names will be truncated.  Paste the names into your email.  Maybe also attach a formatted pdf.; consider putting them into a google docs table and then copying into email.

As of 2015, we only get magnet back badges, which are $10 ($7 for the badge and $3 for the magnet). Dangles are $3.50.

Badge orders are placed at least once a semester, by the Class Coordinator or an assistant. They sometimes ship very quickly, but it varies; allow at least a week, and two if you want to be safe. Majestic charges extra for the magnet backed badges.  Today (2010) it's $3 extra.  We think most of the cost is for the magnet piece, and not the metal plate on the badge itself, so we might try talking to them about what the price would be if we skipped the piece with the magnet, since we could get the magnet piece for 65 cents from Pinless when we order class badge holders.

While people are in the class, they have Class Badges which the class coordinator makes.
