- You get an MIT phone number, eliminating the need to share your personal phone number with colleagues.
- During a Zoom meeting, you can add outbound calls Make outbound calls to a regular phone number from your Zoom Meeting and add them to the meeting by calling their phone number. They will appear as another participant (without video). This is great for dealing with support issues, or when you need to get a company on the line with the other meeting participants.
- Forward calls to a personal cell phone number. You can set this to be during business hours only, and disable forwarding during holidays. Forwarded calls will display your MIT phone number on your personal device's caller ID
- Configure separate call handling rules for Business hours, Closed Hours, and Holidays
- Voicemail to Email service.
- SMS Text Messaging (not available yet, expected Summer 2023)

- You can dial the last 5 digits of other MIT phone numbers to reach that extension (instead of dialing the full 10 digits)

Calls can be made/received through the Zoom Desktop App, This is done so that you do not need to share your personal phone number with colleagues.
Zoom Phone allows users to simultaneously receive phone calls at your MIT phone number via your desk phone and the Zoom application. You can also choose to forward these calls to your another number with conditions (for example, to your cell phone during regular business hours).

Not actually sure what these do..Do not touch any of these. If you have assigned physical desk phones, these may show up here as a MAC Address or with the previous phone owner's name. If you have concerns about anything in this section, contact CRE IT.
