If the above page does not work, or you do not have a browser, use https://nic.mit.edu/cgi-bin/hlreg. Enter the following information:
- MAC Address: The MAC address of the device you are trying to register. Make sure you use the appropriate network adapter's MAC address.
- Account Number: For most cases, this should be the CRE HQ's cost object
- Account Contact (billing): Use the @mit.edu email address for the device owner.
- Technical Contact: Use the @mit.edu email address for the IT Person registering this device. Question: Can we use a group email account?
- Machine Owner: Use the @mit.edu email address of the person you are registering this device for.
Request a Static IP
If you wish to register a static IP address, go to https://ist.mit.edu/network/ip-request and follow the instructions there.
