How do I obtain access to the Gradebook Module?

Are there specific browsers that I should use to access Gradebook Module?

Does the Gradebook Module allow for the collection of student submissions?
Yes. As of the Fall 2015 release, the Homework tool has been integrated into the Gradebook Module. Assignments can be set to accept student submissions by checking the Allow students to submit their work online check box in Step 5. of assignment creation.
Why can't my students see their grades?
By default this feature is turned off within Gradebook. To display approved assignment grades to students, enable "View approved grades" under Students in Permissions. Likewise, make sure the grades you wish for students to view have been approved. (Note: students Students can never view unapproved assignment grades.)
Please note that it is not possible to make Overall Grades (final letter grades) visible to students, as Gradebook Module is not the official system of record for student grades. Overall Grades can be obtained via the Registrar/WebSIS.
When does a grade get released?
In the Gradebook Module, grades are viewable by students when:
- They have been approved by a course admin or instructor.
- And the Gradebook has been been configured to show student's their approved grades.grades
- The grades have been approved by a member of class staff

How do I create assignment

How do I transfer my assignments from past Stellar sites?
You can transfer your Stellar assignments by selecting the Import Stellar Content ZIP option located in the Assignments page Import / Export Dropdown (6)
*LMOD content can only be imported into other LMOD sites, it isn't compatible with classic Stellar sites. More information available here
If I want to give (non-numeric or non-letter) grades, how can I set up my assignments?
You can use the Free-form Option when creating assignments.

If I don't collect submissions online, can I still give grades without the need for student their problem sets, papers, etc?
Yes. In the Gradebook Module, assignments grades can be given with or without student submissions.
How will students know that I've added an assignment?

I'm seeing a JavaScript error message, what should I do?
Please clear your cache and cookies. If the issue persists, please contact IS&T service desk.
PLEASE NOTE: In some cases, browser plug-ins or anti-virus software can interfere with accessing Learning Modules.
- If you are using any plug-ins, please disable these and see if this fixes your problem.
- IS&T recommends Sophos Anti-Virus. If you are using a different anti-virus software, you may try temporarily disabling it to see if it is affecting your browser.
- There are known compatibility issues with Bullguard anti-virus, and we recommend against using this particular anti-virus software alongside Learning Modules.
