Git workflow

When working on code, we are not going to commit and push directly to the master branch; rather, everyone should create a new branch for a particular new feature and then merge into master with a pull request. A detailed description of the process is here (TBD Daniel is working on it).

Weekly updates

We are going to introduce weekly updates - everyone fills a cell in a table on this page every week to provide updates on their status. More on the page itself.

Asana and GitHub tasks

We will use GitHub tasks for software-related projects and Asana for all other tasks. Everyone should be getting invites to Asana shortly. Additionally, when you are assigned a task in-person/over chanty, please create the according GitHub issue or Asana task yourself, assign yourself, and provide the right due dates, description, tags, etc.

Board assembly on Sunday

Pending on parts for pyxida boards arriving on time - this Sunday, Dennis will be organizing board assembly at his lab at Northeastern 1-5 pm. Participation required for electronics and integration, anyone else welcome.

Electronics tutorial by James

37-212 on Sunday at 7 pm. Participation required for electronics and integration, everyone else welcome! Please show up in greater numbers, James really knows what he's talking about. There might also be food.

Cameras

We will be ordering cameras shortly, some discussion happened whether we should pursue GoPro cameras or stick with fireflies. There was no ECN for switching cameras, but we know these are bad, and first testing out GoPro cameras and then replacing fireflies with them will prompt structural changes in the AV bay later in the process, which is not desired. To be discussed at team leads.

HAM radio licenses

Dennis (as vice-president of the radio society) will organize people getting HAM radio licenses. We will have a few sessions beforehand to revise the material.
