The payload bulkhead is the primary structural interface of the mission package. It connects the nose cone, airframe, avionics tower, and HADES assembly.

Changes from the Hermes II Payload Bulkhead

• The lip was removed from the OD
• Weight was removed by adding large pockets to the inside surfaces
• Material was changed from 6061 to 7075
• Wire pass-throughs now fit SMA connectors
