Please make sure your browser window is maximized.

What works right now

  • "+ New Image," "+ New Header," "+ New Section Title," and "+ New Text Sections"
    • Note: "+ New Image" will insert a pre-determined image into the file. The final version will allow users to upload their own files.
  • Dragging items around the page will make text reflow around it.
  • Resizing images
  • Deleting images and text content boxes
  • Bolding and italicizing text
  • Editing text content

Tasks for evaluation

Basically play around with putting in text fields and section headers, then adding images (or adding images first) to see how the text flow adjusts and figure out what works well for you.  You can also drag sections around in order to easily reorder different sections.  Our next implementation will support text actually flowing around just the image, not adjusting the width of the entire text area.

What doesn't work right now

  • "Publish," "Save," "Preview" buttons
  • "Undo," "Redo," "Cut," "Copy," "Paste" buttons
  • "+ More..." button
  • "Alignment" changes (in the text-editing toolbar)
  • Manually resizing text content boxes
  • No labels

    : Concise and complete. Good!

Fidelity: Nice logo and clean layout. Having all the functionality on one side improves usability.Nice clustering of the buttons based on their roles.

Usability: Interactive content units are well-implemented. Please spend time thinking more about providing more explicit visual feedback on the status, especially when interacting with other blocks. The affordance of selecting a content block should be more visible.

Overall: It's going well. Nice job! I think the key will be in improving content block interaction inside the editor pane.
