Problem Statement

Users are frequently frustrated by how difficult it is to make formatting changes in text editors like Microsoft Word. for example, changing the location of an image in the document usually makes other images and text move around in ways that the user did not intend. On web-based text editing platforms like Google Docs, formatting features are usually highly limited. Software or markup that gives the user more control over formatting, such as LaTeX, Adobe InDesign, or Wikipedia's page editor, are too technical for the average user.

We want to make a web-based document editor that allows the user to intuitively change formatting and page placement so that the final document appears exactly as the user intended, without magic changes inserted. This editor will be able to support multimedia content, including photos and videos. Editr will be the basis for a new blogging platform that makes formatting easier for the average user.

"Usability: A couple unfinished features (preview/save) and minor glitches. But nothing critical is missing. Very intuitive UI. Challenging implementation well-done.
Completeness: A concrete blogging scenario would help in testing.
Overall: Great implementation work dealing with dynamic div mgmt!
