Overview

President

  • Creates consensus around an overarching mission and set of goals to guide the team for the year

VP

Safety Officer

  • EHS rep for the team
  • Organize and run Lab Safety Trainings
  • Proactively analyze how to make technical systems more safe
  • Keep SOP's and Safety Plans up to date
  • Coordinate hazardous waste pickups in lab
  • Manage the Technology Control Plan

Publicity Chair

  • Create content for team social media - take pictures/videos from throughout the team
  • Maintain contact with alumni 

Outreach Chair

Previously merged with Publicity chair before 2016-17.

Responsibilities

The outreach chair manages the Team's efforts to engage the community to inspire and encourage young people to study science and engineering through rocketry. The outreach chair keeps in contact with:

  • Science on Saturdays
  • Noche de Ciencias
  • Science Club for Girls/LAUNCH
  • ADD MORE

Social Chair

Responsibilities

The social chair creates social events to build team camaraderie and recruit new members. Past events include: 

  • CPW meet-and-greets
  • Weekly Tea Time
  • Biweekly dinner at a dining hall
  • Launch Party (for SpaceX, Blue Origin, etc...)
  • Pancake Hour 
  • Team outings to movies
  • etc.
