intro

Things are just getting started. If you're an officer feel free to create a section for you to put your own stuff and start adding stuff. If you're coordinating with an officer, you can start moving their stuff from the athena locker to the appropriate place in the wiki. (That would be a great thing for non-officers with athena accounts to volunteer for.) Try to keep the chaos down as much as you can -- we're not really at the collaborative editing stage of things, but more the wholesale importing stage. I'm moving stuff to club-private/moved_to_wiki in the locker instead of deleting it, in case I screw up and we don't have backups somehow. -- sarac

Permissions

It's a good question who we want to have access to things -- one view says strictly officers or even individual officers, another view says why shouldn't everything except very private information be public to the whole club.  Right now everyone who had access to the athena locker before has access, plus current and last year's officers who don't have athena access.  We can revise it later and maybe create more and less public areas, but for now I'm trying to solve the problem of officers wanting to share information but not having access to the athena locker.  Do think about what you're putting in and whether it should be up here if it contains confidential or potentially hurtful information.  I do not plan for us to ever make this world readable (that's what the web site is for). -- sarac

wiki hints

Switch editing views between rich text, wiki markup, and preview to get a sense of what's going on.  Search for other pages and view the markup to see what magic is at work.  Click on the "insert/edit macro" icon in editing mode and explore the cool automatic stuff that's available.  Search the confluence wiki documentation, which is more extensive than the MIT wiki help.
