Thank you for your interest in applying to the Net Zero Carbon Group January 2019 workshop. To the right, you will find the application requirements, as well as what we are looking for in the applicant group. At the bottom you'll find a link to the application. Please make sure that you receive a confirmation email after submission of your application. If you do not receive such an email, please reach out to Aisling O'Grady at aogrady@mit.edu.

This workshop is part of a study on interdisciplinary collaboration to learn how to better design learning environments that will prepare students to work in interdisciplinary teams. This study is funded by the National Science Foundation-sponsored EMBeRS project. As part of the study we be asking participants to submit pre- and post-workshop surveys and we will be videotaping the workshop. We may also ask to photograph or collect any writings or drawings participants generate. The research will not ask for any of participants’ time beyond participation in the workshop itself other than filling out the two surveys.

Participation in this research is voluntary, and you may still attend the workshop if you choose not to enroll in the research study. Any video we collect will be used for research or professional development purposes only. This may include showing clips at professional conferences or faculty training workshops. As we will be videotaping the workshop you may still appear on video; we will blur your face, distort your voice and omit your comments from any transcriptions if you choose not to participate in the research.

A consent form to participate in the research and the pre-workshop survey can be found on the application website. We will collect the survey prior to the workshop and ask you to sign the consent form at the beginning of the workshop. We can also answer any questions you may have at the time. You may also contact Dr. Antje Danielson if you have any questions about this research at antjed@mit.edu.
