Remote Making Overview

Welcome to our remote making resource site. Use the navigation tree on the left to find your remote maker activity. On the activity page you will find remote making safety information and guidelines. You can also use the labels list below to list pages with specific labels. 

At this point, we are able to provide guidance for the following activities/technologies. There are other activities/technologies that we are working to add to this list.

Risk Color Coding

Green LightOK to proceed after reading specified information and procedures.
Yellow LightOK to proceed after submitting compliance acknowledgment form/list.
Orange Light

Requires submission of safety plan, discussion with Project Manus and subsequent approval by EHS. Orange light tools/activities will typically require that you have had (or can obtain) formal training.

Red Light

Not permitted unless there are extraordinary circumstances and measures in place.  If you want  to ask permission, first check with Project Manus, who will then send you to EHS if you meet certain criteria.  Permission to do redlight activities will be very rare.
