This page describers the Office of Graduate Education (OGE)
The Office of Graduate Education (OGE) provides Institute-wide support and to serve students, faculty, and staff to improve the graduate education experience at MIT.
OGE staff can help clarify graduate policies and procedures and help with answers about rules, policies, a student’s rights and responsibilities, as well as unique student situations.
The OGE is where you'll find student petition forms allowing them to request a grading change (e.g. regular to listener, O to OX) or late Add/Drop change, student status adjustment (nonresident status, medical leave, etc), or individualized degree/thesis situation (dual Master’s degree, interdisciplinary thesis committee, etc).
