Use cases

You may consider employing in this microphone for small-scale/DIY projects for the Center, including but not limited to:

  • Tutorial videos
  • Podcast episodes
  • Recorded interviews
  • Class recordings
  • etc.

Larger-scale or professional productions may warrant professional assistance from MIT AV.

Because this is an item to be shared amongst the Center, please be considerate with how long you use it.

Set-up

On Windows 10 devices, simply plug the microphone into an available USB port. Windows should configure the device automatically. (Is this the same on Mac?)

To the best of Cooper's understanding, this device does not require the auxiliary installation of any software to work.

After the set-up process has been completed, configure your recording software to use this device. In Audacity, this can be done with the Audio Setup button.

Functions

mute, volume, patterns, gain.
