Welcome!

This page serves as a centralized base, covering all things. STK (Systems Tool Kit) is a physics-based simulation and modeling software used to visualize complex real-world scenarios.

Some things that you can use STK for // STK can make easier include, but aren't limited to:

  • Figuring out when a satellite is overhead a station so you can download your data
  • Calculating the maximum time you may be in an eclipse without solar power
  • Checking if your deployed solar panels aren't accidentally casting a shadow on each other
  • Knowing what geographical targets your payload camera can actually see in orbit
  • Determining how much a thunderstorm could mess up your radio signals
  • Predicting if space debris may or may not snipe your satellite?!

Your scenario is your oyster!

If you're just looking for definitions of a term you found somewhere on STK, check out the Dictionary (first subcategory). Otherwise, if you want some guidance on how to do a small project, check out the Mini Tutorials (second subcategory).
