GR3 - Paper Prototyping

Prototype photos

These photos show the first iteration of our paper prototypes. Each photo shows the state of the application after each step in what we thought would be the easiest path through our tasks. Some of our users performed the tasks differently.

The Albums view, as it would appear when the user launches the application. It currently shows the albums most recently uploaded by the user’s friends. The user can scroll down to see older albums.

The Friends view, as it would appear when the user taps the “Friends” tab. It currently shows all of the user’s friends in alphabetical order (the names are out of order in this photo).

The Friends view, after “Adam” was tapped. It is showing all photos of Adam in a popover.

The Photo view, after a photo of Jennifer was tapped. The chosen photo is shown full-screen.

The Search view, as the user is typing in “Jennifer.” The user had to close the photo view (by pressing "Back") before the search field was visible. We wrote the user’s entry as the user typed, and autocompleted names with a popover.

The Search view, after the user has entered a search to find all photos of Jennifer and Brian together. The results are shown with matching photos sorted by album, with one album per line.

The Photo view, after a photo of Jennifer and Brian was chosen and tapped directly from the Search View. The user also tapped the "Share" button to reveal several sharing options in a popover.

The Email view, after the user selects “Email” in the Share popover. The photo is automatically inserted. The user test ended once the user got here.

Briefing

PhotoBook is an iPad app that allows you to browse or search your friend’s Facebook photos.

3. Search for photos in which both Jennifer and Brian are tagged.
4. Browse through the results, looking at multiple albums, and photos in those albums, until you see a picture of them that you find shocking.
