Why provide a project sponsor update?
Because project sponsors have limited time to be actively involved in a project, but have the ability to make decisions and remove roadblocks, it is the responsibility of the project manager to communicate with a project sponsor the project health, status of deliverables, risks and issues that need attention and action.
