Emergent projects are organic, student-led local projects with social, environmental/sustainability, or other dimensions. We plan for them to be co-created with students and faculty, and to be coached and advised on-demand
The course is designed to
- Respond to student interests
- Explore links to the rest of MIT
- Rapidly prototype and learn for a projects capability
- Be fairly small (25 students in 4-5 person teams)
- Reveal how to connect process and content
- Complement other projects courses
Initial course design ideas:
- Coaching from one or two faculty
- Faculty "bench" who agree to be available for on-call teaching on specific subject areas
- Already identified opportunities for student projects
- Currently working on a course framework; will collaborate with students, faculty in April and May
