POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering --College of Engineering, Qatar University invites applications for a postdoctoral research scholar position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering / Operations Research / Operations Management, or in a related field. Doctoral students close to completing their Ph.D. are also encouraged to apply.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent potential for academic research. The department is especially interested in candidates with an interest in the areas of design and coordination of supply chain networks, inventory control, production and transportation planning, vehicle routing, closed-loop and green logistics. A strong background in operations research and optimization is an asset. Fluency in English is essential.
This position is supported by a three-year grant from Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) starting on Fall, 2012, or on a date to be agreed. The successful candidate will be in a full time job at Qatar University and will benefit from a competitive monthly salary as well as housing and transportation accommodations.
