Daily planning meeting from David and Heidi

If you are in an intensive team work portion of the project, you will want to start the workday with a 10-minute team meeting
Cover the following:

  • what do we want to get out the door today?
  • what are the key things we need to do in order to get there?
  • what are the steps? who will hand off to whom? when?
  • what are our likely problems today?
  • let's make a contingency plan right now. E.g. if X doesn't send us the data by 11:30 am, stop by his office before lunch.
Or if the analysis isn't coming together by mid-afternoon, a subset of the team meets at 3:30 to refine the plan. Book the meeting room now.

After the 10-minute meeting, take it in turns to type up a quick email and send round to all, to summarize the key decisions and plans
This becomes a useful archive of activities
