MINI-PREP:

  • Prepare culture in a 15mL, round bottom tube.
  • Add 3-5mL LB
  • Add 3-5uL (respectively) of antibiotic (Ampicillin, Kanamycin, etc.)
  • Pick colony using a pipette tip. Eject tip into tube (tip should remain in tube).


MIDI-PREP:

  • Prepare culture in a 500mL Erlenmeyer flask.
  • Add 50mL LB
  • Add 50uL of antibiotic (Ampicillin, Kanamycin, etc.)
  • Pick colony using a pipette tip. Eject tip into tube (tip should remain in tube).
