Update License Key

1. Start the IBM SPSS License Authorization Wizard:
   Windows
   
   You must have administrative privileges to your computer to run these steps. If you are not an administrator, contact CRE IT.
   
   • Right-click on the Start menu, select Run.
   • Type C:\Program Files\IBM\SPSS Statistics\law.exe and press OK.
     
   • If an administrator authorization prompt appears, click Yes. If you do not have administrative privileges for your computer, contact CRE IT.
   • The License Authorization Wizard should then launch.
   Mac OS X:

• • In your Applications folder, you should see either an IBM folder or an SPSS folder. Open that folder.
  • Inside that folder should be a folder called either SPSS 24, 25 or 26 (depending on your specific version). Open that folder.
  • You should see an application called License Authorization Wizard. Double-click that program.
  • The License Authorization Wizard should then launch.

1. The wizard should display the IBM SPSS Statistics Licensing window. Select Authorized user license from the choices. Click Next.
   
2. Enter the authorization code you received in your SPSS order confirmation, then click Add. The license key should move to the larger text field below. Click Next.
   
3. You should see an Internet Authorization Status screen with green text appear. Click Next.
   
4. If successful, you should see a Licensing Completed screen with the different packages you are allowed to use.
