LC-1 Stand Alone Glovebox

Purpose

Creates an inert atmosphere for sensitive chemical experiments. It is capable of achieving and maintaining a <1ppm H2O and O2 environment.

Maintenance

Nitrogen Supply

Ni300 from Airgas with high purity. 

Charcoal Regeneration

Requires forming gas (5% H, 95% N or Ar)  with additional flow-indicating-regulator. New Tank can be purchased from supplier. Should be done every 3-4 months with heavy use, but less if not used often. 

Solvent Trap Reactivation

Should be done when Oxygen levels start to regularly increase to over 50ppm. Requires only N gas. 

Gloves

Should be changed when they start to show signs of erosion or wear 

Rear White Filters

Should be changed when they start to yellow
