UHF Amplifier Project Plan

General Plan

  1. Learn to use the tools (Wiki, Gensys, Altium Protel)

  2. Design Specification

  3. Design overall System Architecture based on specification

  4. System Level Design review

  5. Breakup overall system Design into sub system

  6. Decide which sub system to design first, second etc.

  7. Consider major components necessary for each sub system, Order Parts

  8. Detailed sub system design with a initial layout, Order Parts

  9. Design review

  10. Combine layouts on final PCB, Order PCB

  11. Assemble Initial PCB while remainder are assembled

  12. Test Initial PCB including debugging

  13. Test and Assemble remaining PCB boards

  14. Test Final Amplifier including debugging

Project Rules

  1. The project will be documented in the Millstone Hill Science wiki.

  2. Hardware schematics will be properly annotated.

  3. Hardware schematics will be accompanied with a parts list. This will be necessary for professional assembly.

  4. All test results will be documented in the Millstone Hill Science wiki

  5. Work smarter, not harder.
