Problem Statement

The Problem:
Locating people and organizing meeting requires a lot of tedious tasks. And may involve many iteration of sharing of availability window among the members of the meeting. Because of this reason many people prefer to initiate this process one or two weeks in advance. But this can result in significant delays in important decisions.
There is currently no easy, quick, and simple method to broadcast and event and find out the availability of targeted group of people.

Hypothetical Situation:
Alice, Bob, Boris, Martin and Christine are doing a research project together. They have a research paper submission in a week. Working on strict deadline means that they cannot spend too much time deciding on the location or time. They want to meet on a location convenient for most of them and as soon as possible. Making a timetable in advance becomes impossible for them because of their disjoint classes and unpredictable homework schedules. So they end up calling each other every day for tentative time and place 2 hours prior to the meeting. And one or the other member end up missing the meeting.

The Solution:
Our Smart phone Application provides users with a simple way to locate all their friends on map and find a convenient location for a meeting. It also provide users an interface to create an event, set start and end time, and broadcast the schedule to a set of friends. It also enables the users to instantly respond to an event/meeting invitation. They can either accept an event/meeting invitation or decline it by noting that they are “Already in a meeting and 3 o'clock would be a better time." This type of feedback will help the event organizer to quickly reschedule the event.
The Discover.Me interface will provide a fast and easy solution for locate friends, manage events, and organize meetings.
