Problem Statement
Currently MIT students have several ways to interact socially online. For example, there are dorm mailing lists, facebook, sites like isawyou.mit.edu, etc. However, there is no single place where people can interact generally; each site is limited either in what the user can do and/or which segment of the MIT community can use it. We propose to make a general social network for MIT students where they can make discussions, post and comment on articles, and publicize events. The website will allow anyone who is an MIT student to easily join but maintain a generalized way to discuss various topics.
