Overview
When completing the description of a collection, it is important to also describe the finding aid itself. Cite the authors of the description, any sponsors, and date of creation. Also capture the rules of description used (e.g. DACS) and the language of the description.

- EAD ID — A unique identifier used as an ID for the EAD record generated by ArchivesSpace.
- EAD Location — The URL for the EAD instance itself (as opposed to HTML or other derivatives).
- Finding Aid Title — A title for the resource record finding aid and not for the collection.
- Finding Aid Date — The date when collection level description is initially completed.
- Finding Aid Author — Name(s) of the individual(s) responsible for the creation of the finding aid.
- Description Rules — The convention followed in the creation of the resource record.
- Language of Description — Language of the description of finding aid.
- Sponsor — Denotes funding sources. Use if a gift or grant was given to process or preserve collection.
