Update
- Mecahnical upgrades are about 90% complete
- The electronic have all be rewired and NI aquisition boards have been added
- Noise issues with the stepper motors have been addressed with shielding
- Currently, the absorption experiment is not complete - it is being replaced with a small carosel
- Nuclear engineering students will use the experiments in local mode next spring
- Unkown if the Junior Physics class will use
Next steps list
- Email Jim and Phil the labview Vi and sample data sets
- Upgrade labview version from 8.2 to 8.2.1 - Phil Bailey will provide the patch
- Camera setups, Phil Long with drop off a test camera to Judy and Yakov - this camera will need an IP address. The best way to play with the camera setup is to use a laptop to connect to the camera and take screen captures of possible camera positions.
- Check with Reactor systems people to determine if a building firewall exists
- Work on labview VI to make sure it stops correctly (Raymond)
- Create iLab wiki pages for the reactor experiments
- Upload sample educational docs onto wiki - powerpoint descriptions and instructions
- Have Mark update the visualizations - mostly likily in Jan. 2008

- Next meeting: 11am wednsday Nov. 21st (in the reactor conference room?)
