As long as we're trying to come up with a way to help users select an image management solution, I have another proposal for your consideration. I have in mind providing a decision tree that presents likely questions, with answers that guide a user to tools that might be a good fit.
This diagram is utterly incomplete, but I thought it would provide an example of what I had in mind.
