Attendees:
- E19: Chuck Munger, Janet Walzer, Ken Paul, Laurie Bryce
- By phone: Kath Thurston-Lighty, Bob Wilt, Ranjani Saigal
Agenda:
- Multimedia Update
- Content Changes
- Eligibility qualification complexities
- Ken introduced more "Am I Eligible?" balloon links thorughout the overview
- We need feedback on whether this is overkill
- We discussed the "keep it simple" approach vs. the "precise and complete" approach, which can overwhelm the viewer with complexity
- The bias is towards keeping it simple
- There are many qualifications to general eligibility rules in the current overview
- The system directs users multiple times to the HRWeb site to fully qualify themselves.
- The bias is towards keeping it simple
- We should revisit this topic for the Open Enrollment release
- Sound files
- Missing files for last 6 slides; due from MIT AV today.
- Introduced 1 second sound delay at beginning of each slide, additional delays at the end of certain slides
- Ken would like feedback on slide display duration- whether the system displays some slides too long or not
- Layout changes
- All text converted to fonts used on main web site; text styles, placement and sizes standardized
- Orange graphical bullets *not* supported by Articulate software.
- "No Flash" demonstration page
- http://hrweb.mit.edu/welcome/benefits/index.html?noflash
- Everyone felt the above page looked good
- Ken to look at alternative PDF formats; current example not ideal (accessing and displaying the script is somewhat problematic)
- IS&T Update
- The IS&T MIT Certificate page will be available 8/22;
- A draft may be available before then.
- NEO Feedback Review
- Meeting comments posted on the NEO Feedback page: https://wikis.mit.edu/confluence/display/NEO/NEO+Web+Site+Feedback+List
- Last week's change requests- we identified some EHS text to be relocated to the Be Safe checklist item on Your Checklists/First week
- Development, other issues
- We all felt that the Your First Week checklist items were getting long. Any new items to be added must have an old item removed.
- Your/MIT Diversity page is too long. Laurie, Janet and Genesia to meet later today to review.
- Need to add photographs with a more diverse subject population.
