The rocket shall reach an apogee above 150,000 ft, with a goal of 185,000 feet. Subrequirements necessary to achieve this goal follow:
- Flight simulations shall accurately represent the rocket and demonstrate:
- A minimum stability margin of 2 calibers across all points during flight
- Stage separation in the supersonic regime
- A minimum apogee above 150,000 ft, with a goal of 185,000 ft.
- The fin cans shall withstand expected forces:
- Drag force
- Lift force
- Shock loads
- Interlaminar shear
- Flutter
- The fin cans shall withstand expected heating:
- Stagnation temperature
- Heat released from the motor
