The Hermes 2 Recovery Guard is a laser-cut disk of clear 1/4-inch thick acrylic located in Lower Electronics. It is meant to prevent parts of the recovery attachment from getting tangled with the cameras and DAQ. It has holes placed above the cameras to allow a clear view, as well as a 0.6 inch diameter hole in the center for the recovery attachment. The recovery guard itself is attached to the camera and DAQ enclosures using the countersunk holes along the edge. Screws in these holes attach to heat-set inserts in the 3D-printed enclosures below the guard, holding it in place.
