The Nose Cone Assembly is the combination of the stainless steel tip, aluminum upper section, and the S-glass lower section.
The nose cone is a 34" long Sears-Haack body consisting of three sections. The S-glass lower section is 20" long and is 6" in outer diameter at the aft end and 4.44" in outer diameter at the forward end. This section consists of 19" of Sears-Haack curvature followed by a 1" straight section at the aft end. The aluminum upper section is 10" long and is curved throughout. The outer diameter of the aft end, where the aluminum meets the fiberglass, is 4.44", while the forward end is 1.98". The stainless steel tip is 4" long and has an outer diameter of 1.98" where it meets the aluminum section.
