Booster

Due to the booster being so large, and our mixing capabilities maxing out at around 25-30 lbs per batch, the propellant grain had to be split into 4 separate pieces that were stacked on top of each other inside the liner. They were separated by o-rings in between each piece. Booster pieces have a 5.25" outer diameter. The bates grains are the same but had to be separated due to the aforementioned reason. This actually has less isp than a motor optimized for isp as we wanted to frontload the thrust to achieve the maximum amount of acceleration in the shortest amount of time to coast off of in the 2nd stage. This approach led to a higher apogee in our simulations.
