Scylla was the booster for Charybdis. It is made of 4" diameter, filament-wound tubes. Most of the airframe was These were easy to access and machine to length. The fins are 1 ply sandwich panels with a plywood core. The bulkheads, tubes, and fin composite were all carbon fiber. The nose cone was fiberglass.

Scylla used dual separation, dual deploy for recovery, separating the motor section at apogee, and an upper coupler (interface with Charybdis) at 1500 feet. The chutes were a Rocketman 2' and 8' for drogue and main, respectively.
