Test Matrix:

The Test Matrix is a flow chart which shows which tests flow into which other tests. The bubbles with no fill are the individual component tests, while the bubbles with the color filled in are the integrated tests. All of these tests must be done before CRIMP or Complete Rocket Integration Minus Pyrotechnics. Once Crimp is completed and the team know that the rocket fits together, then the team performs a Ground Test.

  • Record environment (Pstatic, ground winds, Temperature)
  • Mass, center of Gravity (day-of sims)
  • Tower operations
    • Build, raise, arm, install igniter
  • Time to integrate
  • Check if RE’s are correct
  • Tools list
  • Check webbing lengths
  • Integration and Launch Checklists

- Recovery Ops

  • Turn off things in correct order
  • Practice carrying rocket with tooling

- Rocket Functions

  • Check if piston and Tender Descenders fire
    • Use Telemega/MARSA
  • Pre and post inspection
    • Check if anything is burnt or broken
  • Pull on lines, to see if chutes come out
  • Data readout verify

  • Box with everything labelled to keep track of things
