Touchstone and the InCommon Federation

(08/19/2008) MIT has joined the InCommon Federation. The mission of the InCommon Federation is to create and support a common framework for trustworthy shared management of access to on-line resources in support of education and research in the United States.

Each member of the InCommon Federation must publish a Participat Operating Practices (POP) document. Since MIT is operating two Identity Providers (IdPs) we have to publish two POP documents:

  • MIT's POP document
  • TouchstoneNetwork.net's (aka CAMS) POP document
