Controls Requirements
- The team shall develop a throttling controller by using two variable angle throttle valves to regulate the mass flow rate of oxidizer (N2O) and fuel (IPA)
- Throttling controller shall throttle down to at or below 40% nominal thrust
- Mixture ratio shall remain near constant throughout hot fire
- Actual thrust shall remain within 30 lbf from thrust setpoint
- Actual thrust shall reach setpoint within 2 seconds when throttling up or down
- The Thrust Vector Controller (TVC) shall provide control of the Primary Propulsion Device thrust vector in the pitch and yaw axes*
- Shall be capable of displacing thrust vector at least 7 degrees in a controlled manner during hotfire*
- Goal: 10 degrees
- Shall allow for thrust vector to complete full circular profile in at most 10 seconds
- Derive slew rate requirement
- Shall be capable of displacing thrust vector at least 7 degrees in a controlled manner during hotfire*
