The standard bio layout contains: your name, academic background, work experience, research domain, research methodology, research description, publications, a black-and-white portrait, personal website and professional website... in that order. Students early in their career may only have content for some of these sections. That's cool. Add more when you have it\! 2. Research Domain:

    sustainability

Research Methodology:

qualitative: ethnography, interviews, observation, etc.;

quantitative: modeling and simulation, experiments, surveys, etc.

Research Description:

Ellen explores how mathematical models are used in sustainability negotiations. For her dissertation work, she focuses on two arenas of sustainability negotiations: commercial supply chains and intra-governmental infrastructure planning. For the former, she uses The Cup Game, a negotiation role-play simulation she created based on a real-life coffee cup supply chain. For the latter, she conducts experiments with the 3E Game, wherein participants try to suggest a sustainable infrastructure plan for a desert nation. She also studies design, innovation, and leadership.
