Within the diagram above, we plan to use quicklinks and swivels at the following locations. This is a maximum-mass estimate and we will be working towards re-evaluating the necessity of all Quick-links, swivels, and their respective sizes at individual locations. Currently we only have 300lb and 1500lb swivel varieties in lab and 220lb, 880lb, and 1000lb quicklinks in lab, so we are only listing these (which supports the ongoing packing procedure/volume analysis), but there may be better options available. We also certainly need to qualify our 220lb quicklinks to make sure that they can take well over their rated strength, to provide a greater factor of safety on the current drogue opening estimate of 200lbs.

  • Junction H: 1x 880lb Quick-link & 1x 1500lb Swivel
  • Junction G: 1x 220lb Quick-link & 1x 300lb Swivel
  • Junction F: 1x 220lb Quick-link
  • Path A-->E: 4x 220lb Quick-link
  • Junction D: 1x 220lb Quick-link (on the inside of the deployment bag)
  • Junction B: 2x 1000lb Quick-links & 1x 1500lb Swivel
  • Junction A: 1x 1000lb Quick-link & 1x 1500lb Swivel
