Issue: main lines were tangled with nosecone retention line and load bearings line before bag opened past locking loop.

Expected sources:

- inadequate swiveling on retention line and/or drogue

- Large spin from instability off the rail

- Inconsistent tender descender deployment

- (I’ll take more notes on details observed as we discuss)

 

Possible solutions

  • develop load bearing bag
  • More swivels
  • No nosecone recovery

- drill down/discuss sources of issue and parallel phenomenon in 2 stage, Hermès II/III and spaceshot 

- Develop revision plan and new design criteria

- Develop testing plan and verification strategy

- Implement schedule/basis for review and feedback during revision process
