This laboratory is based on an Altera DE1 Development board which has a Cyclone II FPGA on-board. It allows students to synthesize digital systems on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) with VHDL, a hardware description language. The experiment setup is built around an Altera DE1 Development Board (figure below) which uses a Cyclone II FPGA. |
